When you take a cat and put it in a group of dogs, it won’t belong. My culture my language the one I can’t speak. I try all my best to understand some. Sometimes I want to speak it with my people, but I can’t. All my big brothers and sisters could speak it, everyone is proud of them. Me, nope I’m a big disgrace to my culture, but I don’t know how I lost it.
I used to speak and understand it fluently. Losing my language is like losing part of my family. When my sister and I are in a crowd of Krahn speakers, we feel like outsiders, birds that can’t find their nest anymore. Talking to my grandparent is like making a fish and a lion talk to each other.
Coming of my Romeo
I’m waiting for my prince to bring my glass shoes. Laying my head on the clouds every night dreaming of him. When I first saw him my heart was racing like a horse in a race. I did not want any other girl to take him.
I was like a mother chicken protecting her chicks from the hawks. The day he told me, how he felt. I was happy as flowers are when they get rain. When I really got to know him. I find out he was sweet as honey.

In my family we have different type of hair. My grand mom has the prettiest hair, hers is long and soft.Her hair is like that, because she is light skeined. Next my dad hair is nice but he is just like my grandfather and don’t like hair. So one day he decide to go bold ad cut his hair. My Little sisters hair is as long as my grand-mom, but instead of it been soft its as nappy as a old man Afro.
When someone is combs it,she will cry and cry till the person will give up and quit.My other sister hair is not that long, but its also not that soft, but when you flat iron it , it will be all soft and black and pretty. My hair is long and very soft, but it not full, my hair is also not black, which i don’t understand, because all of my family have black hair. All my brothers hair are good too.Even though our hairs are different we still love each other.
Some Times You Got To Let Go
There are some things you got to let go in life.Some people that you love so much, but you know are not doing the right thing.Friends sometimes do the wrong things, and just because they are your friends doesn't mean they are always right.
I had a very special friend in my life, and i never wanted to let him go.He knows all my secrets and i knows all his.But he was leading me to the wrong path.I thought all the things he did was cool.He was know as popular and sexy. I felt so beautiful, when girls will start hating on me,because they thought we were dating.One day we got in a big argument and it was the first time a boy ever insult me or even put their hands on me.
I was shock, and could not believe it, but i also notice he was not to his self.He was high, and that same day we got our report card and he had all F and he tear it right in front of the teacher face and said he don't gave a f***.When i got home i called him and started talking to him, and he told me that he’s not going to change for any girl.All my friends ad family told me to stop hanging with such a person. But it was hard for me, he was my first love, and best friend. The day i said goodbye was hard for me, but as time when by, I'm happy i did.

When I first came to America, people started making fun of me, because i was African.They called my siblings and I all stuff of names.I never really care, because i know I’m proud to be African.People started making fun of my skin color, but i did not listen to them
because i know I'm beautiful.
People aways laugh at my accent, but i was not tripping. Because I know they all which they can speak and understand more than one language. And because i do, they are jealous and hating.No matter what they say deep inside i know I'm a African princess and no one can change that.

We got each other back, we are always there for each other.We can jokes around with each other gets in fight, but then no one else can do those things to us.I love when we are together, they are the coolest people to be around with.When I'm around them, i can be myself and act very normal.They been knowing me since i was 9 years old.
They know when I’m lien, when I'm scared, when i sad, they can even tell when I like someone with out me telling them.When we are together, we can dance and sing.We tell each other everything.Before we even go out with a boy they have to studies them.When we are together we are so loud, especially on the bus.We have to shopping together. one thing i know for sure, is that no matter where we go or what we do in life, they will always be my family.

The Color Purple Book Reflection
Color Purple Essay
In the book, “ The color Purple”, the two main characters are Celie and Nettie, both of them are sisters, but they share many differences. Celie is a very patience person, but she can’t stand up for herself when men beats her up. She thinks men have all the powers and that women are supposed to do whatever men asked them.
She is afraid of men and she always on her good behavior. She is a wife and she takes care of other people’s kids but they don’t respect her or even take her as their step-mom. She got pregnant twice by her father. She marry a men who doesn't even love her and wants her sister. Mr_________, beats Celie all the time and she don’t stand up for herself.
Celie is alone in Mr________, house so the only person she can talk to is God, that's why she writes to him all the time and tell him all hers secrets believing he’s the only one who still care for her and she can trust also the only man who won't beat her up, cuss her, or rape her. Celie is a hard working woman, she could also knit very good. Celie has children, and she once believed that they were dead, until one day she went to the store and she her daughter with her new mom.
Celie once told Shaq that she can’t get angry anymore, because when she got angry at her mom her mom got sick and died. Celie is always helping man shave in the book most of the time. Celie did not finish school she had to draped out. Celie did not travel, she didn't have the advantage to travel around the world.
Nettie on the other hand is very brave, and stands up for herself. She know what she want in life. Nettie never let any men take advantage of her. She always fight for what she believes. She is always helping people out that need help, she is very smart and willing to learned. Nettie is known as the pretty one amongst she and her sister.
She is a teacher and she went all over the world to teach different cultures of people and also learned about their ways of life. Nettie believes everyone should be equal, no matter what sex, or color you are. For example when she was in Africa and the tribe believes girls are not supposed to go to school, she was not satisfies with that.
When Mr________, try to raped her she kick him in his private part and ran away he got so mad and said she has to leave, but that did not stop her, she still fight for her rights. When her father try to sleep with her she also left and went somewhere else. She never got raped in her life, she is marry to a men who love her and never touch her or even thing of hitting her. She believe in God, not because he’s the only one that could she can depend on, but because she believes in him and she want to teach his wonder to everyone all over the world, She is a missionary in Africa, and the men she is marry to is the man that adapted her sisters children and now shes the one looking after them.

Debate, and Babies, and DNA, oh my! Response
Should parents be allowed to change their kids DNA? My vote is no. Definitely not. Not unless it’s the only way to cure a disease and even then it’s incredibly risky
REALLY want to determine exactly how your child looks, and all that jazz, you might be better off with in vitro fertilization.
Also, in the realm of opinion. I would think that deciding how your kid looks takes some of the fun and surprise out of all of it. Have you ever had a family member get pregnant? Be it an Aunt or a sibling, you always sit around wondering what your new cousin/niece/nephew will look like. “Will he/she look like Aunt____? or more like Uncle____? Will they like the same things I do? Will I get to babysit them?” etc. And I know from experience. My Aunt had a baby fairly recently and all we did for weeks before her daughter was born wondering about her, what she was gonna be like.
I agree with Mercedes when she said that she don’t thing parents should not be allowed to changed their babies DNA. I also disagree with her when she said they should only do it, if they only want to cure a disease, because most of the time the sickness, is not that bad, then people try to do something on their body and it really end up damaging their children life for ever. In this debates she only talks about her opinion, and the facts, she only talk about her feelings toward the issues and, she did not go unlined to do a real research on it. At the end she said people should guess how their baby going to turned out, is not everyone who is pregnant want to be guessing how their baby is going to look like, or how their smile and everything else their baby is going to have when its born.I also agree with her when she said if a parent already know how their child look like it will take away all the fun out of it.

My debate topic
The question i chose to debate about was Should child actors in shows marketed for young audiences be expected to serve as role models for people their age?
The reason why i chose this question, is because of how now and days children actress, singers, and actors don’t act like their age, they think, because they have the money they are grown up. Most of the famous kids, like Miley Cyrus, aka ex- Hannah Montana's "bong hit" was flying all over the web causing parents to second guess their child's role models. Little girls and moms loved her Disney show, Hannah Montana: The Movie, her concerts, cute songs and signature blond wig. But, when I saw her pole dancing at the "Teen Choice Awards" 2009, I has a sick feeling this was not the end. I completely understand that Miley is becoming a grown woman and will make bad decisions-- but, there is a time and place for everything and getting high off of saliva, on camera, is NOT a good idea when you are in the public eye.
Bruno Mars, singer-producer, with hit songs including "Just The Way You Are" and writing for Travis McCoy, B.o.B, and Cee-Lo Green was caught in possession of drugs.Teen Mom star Amber Portwood was arrested for domestic violence against baby daddy Gary Shirley. She has reportedly been abusive from August 2009 to July 2010. Who knows what will happen to their poor baby Leah."The Jersey Shore" was one of TVs most watched shows and it seems like "Snooki" is now a household name. Their bad drinking habits, sex, drama, cursing, bar fights, sluts, and intense tanning seemed to follow us everywhere. Teenagers love the show and I have to admit watching is my guilty pleasure. But, I don't want my little sables to watch and think "They are successful, I want to be like them”.
celebrate tens should be role model, because their fans are mostly young kids who don’t need to know about smoking and drinking. If a fan take you as a role model they think everything you do is right and they will want to do it, their dreams is to be like you, so even if u do something wrong, they will copy. That what i think.

Spirits
Spirit
In class today we were debating about spirit and if they are real are not. Most of the student were saying for them to believe it, there has to be a prove. Some said they had experience and so they believe it. While we were debating in class i was thinking to myself no matter what i say or do will convince them.
For me i believe spirit is within every one. When we die our spirit leaves our body goes on and live forever. Some of the kids in my class were saying that every thing scientist say are true, to me i don’t believe everything they say.
I said that my prove for God beaning real is in the Bible , but some of the kids were saying, that it was written by man, but they never answer my question if you can believe scientist that are also men, the why can’t you believe the bible.
Lots of people i know say that the only way, they are going to believe in God is by seeing him. But what they don’t know is that God don’t appear to unbeliever.You have to have faith in him and take as your one and only personal savior. I don’t believe that something just explored and made the earth that can’t happen. Someone started or invented the thing that will make the world. Unless u wanna tell me aliens are real to and were here before humans and made that thing.
Faith is an abstract thought and yet this state of mind is still of existence. Even though we might not see spirits they are still abstract which we can’t touch, but they are there.

Blog Response to Kite Runner
I agree with Ale’ah and Adralyn n When I first began this book I did not like it at all. While reading this book I got really into it and did not want to read it or annotate it. I thought it was very boring but, it's actually really interesting.
The book is actually good, then i thought it was going to be. What Ale’ah said about: the rap part got more more interested and wonder why Amir did not do anything or help some one who sees him as a brother and always help him.
in class we were having a debate about weather or not it was right for Amir to watch Hassan get raped. Alot of people said what was this little kid going to do against these big oh fifteen year old. But I was saying so what, he should have still saved his best friend. Now in this second section we've found out that Hassan and Amir are really bothers. HOW CRAZY RIGHT. Who would have thought. That's what made me even more angrier than before, the fact that Hassan and Amir were brothers and Amir sat and watched. That's just straight wrong in my opinion how could a real friend do such a thing.
What Ale’ah said about this part in her blog post is not right. Amir did not saved Hassan, because he sees him as a servant a no body, he only play with him just to tease him and laugh at someone who don’t know things that he knows. Amir only read to Hassan, so that Hassan can ask him what a word mean, so he can laugh at him.
Amir himself said that, Hassan can’t not be his friend, because they are from different tribes that don’t like each other, he is rich and Hassan is poor. But after the rape Amir felt sorry, embarrass, and disappointed in his self, that he no longer can play with Hassan or even talk to him. He could not stand the shame anymore he had to lie on his name so that all the guilt in side of him can go away.
Even after every think Amir did, Hassan still pick him up and agree that he was the one who stole the money and watch when he had no idea how it got in his father house. Hassan left, because he knew that Amir would never talk or play with him anymore. So far this book is good.

Kite Runner
The Kite Runner is about friendship, betrayal, and the price of loyalty.
Hassan and Amir grew up together, lived in the same house, were fed
from the same breast, and shared many other similarities. Yet, there
are differences between them, and those differences created who they
are. Amir and Hassan grew up in two different worlds: Amir is the son
of a wealthy man, while Hassan is the servant of Amir’s father, and he
is a Hazara. Which at that time, a Hazara wasn’t worth to played with,nor talked to.
I agree with Ashli that the Kite Runner is about friendship, betrayal, and the price of loyalty. This book is mostly about friendship and everything that has to do with it. In the book Amir is not that loyalty to Hassan as Hasssan is to him.
The part of the book that talks really about their friendship, was the part Hassan got raped, because Amire did not take Hassan as his own brother even though they hang out a lot and are always with each other Amire once said that Hassan can’t never be his brother, because he is a Hazara.
Amire was very jealous of Hassan, he thing his father love Hassan more than him. Whenever he do something good his dad don’t see it. He felt like he was sharing his dad with Hassan and he don’t want that.He wanted his father to his self only.
Ashli said that he was selfish, and i think in a way its kind of truth. He did not do anything to help his friend out when he was getting raped. He just stood there and watch. In my opinion if Amire was going to step in Hassan was never going to get raped, because the other kids know his father is rich and they will not want to hit a rich men.
